OMGZ Christmas

That happens to be my most hated phrase at the moment, please don't use it.

Anyway, back to stupid things I overhear.

Today at the train station:
Girl: Please tell [boy] that the sun does not move!
Boy: But the Moon goes round the Earth, so the Sun goes round us right?
Me: No, the Moon goes round us, and we go round the Sun. We have learnt this since Infant School you know.
Boy: But what if there was a big gust of space? Would it move then?

Its November???? And Funny Signs.

How did it get to be November so quickly? Last time I looked it was September. Dear me, time really does fly, I feel all old. Anyone go to a Halloween party last night? I was midway across france at that point, so I feel as if I missed out. :( Halloween in Barcelona was cool though, loads of people in costume on the metro, and all the shops were decorated.

Back to the funny business, I had completely forgotten about a sign I took a photo of during the summer. I thought it might be worthy enough to share with you.

Anyway, have a nice November, its going to be all cold and wintery from now on! Or warm and summery if you're on the other side. And don't forget to subscribe! XD

Oh, I love Spain, it gave me so much material...

One more for good measure, and then I won't bore you anymore. Remember the last post, about the cafe menu? Well, this restaurant was right next door, but I refused to eat in it, and I'm pretty sure all of you would once you've seen the name! I checked inside, there were no stuffed animals to be seen, I was rather dissapointed.

Another golden nugget.

Well, I thought this was a funny menu anyway.

From Spain, with love.

So, this week I have been living it up in Spain. Well, not quite - it rained 3 out of 4 days and the closest I got to "living it up" was a small glass of Sangria.

However, no matter how dreadful the weather was, it did provide me with some good material for this blog, althought the following utterance was not from a teenager.

To set the scene, we are in the gift shop of the Sagrada Familia, in Barcelona. My mother is buying a guide book.

My Mum: Oh no, don't worry about the bag.
Shop keeper: Are you sure?
My Mum: Yeah, I can put it in this bag.
Shop keeper: Thank you for saving the bag!

He said it very sincerly with a huge smile on his face, I think he really did care about the bag!

My first ever sixth form blog.

I've been trying to pay attention to what everyone has been saying around me, but almost feel as if I'm drowning - there are thousands of people surrounding me! I feel bad for what I am about to post, these are potential friends that I am making fun of commenting on.

Oh well, hopefully they won't read this.

The first morsel of hilarity I remember comes from my English Language class today. We were studying homophones, homonyms, idioms, metaphors - that sort of thing. We were answering in a class discussion what "friendly fire" was an example of. (It's an euphemision, by the way) The poor lad I sit next to was rather confused at why anyone would describe a flame as something sociable and approachable.

Dear, dear me. :D

Update.

I've moved on from year 11's - they are so last year...
I'm at 6th form college now, so you shall be hearing from 16 and 17 year olds from now on, ok?
I'm sure they shall be just as amusing, so watch this space...
